Katelyn Bounds is an associate attorney at Midwest Disability Work Comp. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, she moved to Minnesota in 2008 to attend the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology, political science, and Spanish. She was a member of the St. Benedict women’s hockey team and studied abroad in Valladolid, Spain.
Katelyn went on to pursue her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul. While in law school, she was a member of the Business Law Society, Women Law Student Association, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Katelyn received certificates in Law and Business and Public Interest. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Donovan Frank in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
Katelyn is a strong believer in helping those who cannot help themselves. She recognizes that no one asks to be injured on the job and that most people have no idea when to hire a lawyer. Katelyn hates seeing people being taken advantage of or being mistreated, which is why she strives to prevent and remedy those situations.
When preparing for a case, Katelyn gets an early start and thoroughly identifies all potential issues to ensure there are no surprises. She takes a collaborative approach and seeks the input of her fellow attorneys to develop a comprehensive strategy.
In her free time, Katelyn coaches the Anoka/Rogers 12UA girls' hockey team and enjoys spending time with her dog.
